\tParted Magic<\/a> lead developer Patrick Verner has released an update to his specialist Linux distribution for hard disk partitioning and duplication that includes a new version of the Gnome PARTition EDitor (GParted<\/a>) with LVM<\/a> support. \tSimply labelled "2012_09_12", the latest release of the multi-platform partitioning tool is now based on the 3.5.3 Linux kernel and updates a number of the bundled applications and utilities. Package upgrades include Firefox 15.0.1<\/a>, version 1.42.5 of the e2fsprogs<\/a> filesystem utilities, and X.org's X Server 1.12.4. According to Verner, a "mess of bugs" have also been fixed in this release; these include problems that caused the system to hang when USB devices were connected.<\/p>\n
